Opening of Hantrax doll expo at MuHKA

Nice warm day on the roof of MuHKA today with beautiful people assembling and installing their dolls for the MuHKA show.

Han asked me to make a Hantrax doll for MuHKA

2024 August 05

'Hantrax Dolls' is an ongoing project by the artist Han Swolfs in which making a doll is part of his daily ritual. For Han, these everyday dolls are ‘non-intentional’ creations, without a predetermined form, so intuition is the key. Han invited artist and designer friends to participate, the collaboration dolls are all labeled "Hantrax Dolls by..." and are added to the exhibition. Renowned names such as Ann Demeulemeester, Luc Tuymans, Carla Arocha & Stéphane Schraenen and Kati Heck already participated.

Launching three new books by Sine Van Menxel, Yves de Brabander and Jesse Siegel.

CASSTL is an artist initiative founded and run by Carla Arocha, Stéphane Schraenen and Luc Tuymans
and is located in Antwerp's harbor neighborhood.

A long but exciting day at Gerin Druck GmbH today. All proofings inspected and approved. We officially started printing!

Peter and the printer have chosen an amazing local sourced "Salzer Touch" 100% woodfree and carbon neutral paper. The printers themselves are also working according to all ecologic and sustainable standards.

It's a regular white paper backdrop, handcoloured in charcoal.

If i'm not mistaken this is the 3rd version... the first one was made in 2011 for a CEDRIC JACQUEMYN Lookbook and it's been a recurring theme throughout some of my projects and shoots.
